When you need care in the comfort of your own home, it is reassuring to be able to rely on people you can trust.

Independence is important to all of us, and the Strand Private Care at Home service provides a high standard of personal care enabling clients of all ages, with a variety of needs to live full, safe, independent lives in their own homes.

Clinical Nurse Manager with you throughout your care

Before your care begins one of our clinical nurse managers will visit you either in hospital, before discharge or in your own home to carry out a complete care needs and risk assessment to determine the level of care you will need. Our clinical nurse manager will:

• liaise with all relevant parties involved in your care, such as District Nurses or GP's.
• source equipment required to deliver your care on your behalf.
• work with Social Services, your rehabilitation team, Occupational Therapists or physiotherapists to ensure you have complete holistic care.
• complete your care plan.
• follow up and monitor your care, with regular check ups and liaison with your family or loved ones.
• work or liaise with Power of Attourney or Trustees if required.
• provide constant follow up on your care, annual quality assurance visits and re-assessment of your care needs when they change.

Caring for a variety of needs

From dressing and bathing to administering medication, the provision of home therapies and high dependency care, we are able to provide experienced clinical specialists to look after your every need, in the comfort of your own home.

You may need to call on one of our nurses or carers:

• as a companion.
• when relatives want peace of mind that there is someone there taking care of you.
• whilst recovering from a hospital stay.
• when terminally ill.
• when you need help to get around the house.
• when you have long term special-care needs.
• on your doctors recommendation.
• or simply to give regular carers a break

Caring for all ages

We have a database of highly skill clinical specialists who can be called upon to provide care for clients of all ages from children and adults with physical or mental health disabilities to elderly clients with more domestic care needs. Our service can be tailored to your specific requirements.

Recruitment Process

Our rigorous recruitment process makes sure that Strand only employ, and therefore provide our clients with the very highest quality staff, all of whom are:

• thoroughly interviewed by a registered nurse
• asked to provide details of their qualifications, registration and medical checks.
• asked to provide up-to-date references, which are verified by our staff.
• asked to provide an enhanced CRB disclosure

These are just a few of the many checks that are in place, to comply with the Commission for Social Care Inspection Care Standards Act which provides you with the assurance that our service is regulated and regularly inspected to ensure standards are as high as possible.
