Having had the feedback from the most recent CSCI for Nursing Agency Inspection, the Strand team were absolutely delighted with the comments they received.
Overall the Inspectors said:
“In our report you will see that we have made a judgement about the quality of your service in each of the outcome areas. We have looked at these judgements and have decided that overall your service provides excellent outcomes for the people who use it."
“The comments from the inspector were a real credit to the team” said Catherine Reid, Operations Manager from the Strand. “the Strand team are so dedicated to providing a first class service - they take extra time to make sure we recruit the right staff and nothing is too much trouble for them to do in order to deliver the best service to both staff and clients this inspection report has recognised this effort and confirmed the reasons why we have such a good reputation in the market place”
The quality of service was also reflected in the comments our candidates and clients fed back to the CSCI Inspector, including:
“the agency is very good and responsive and the nurses from this agency have been very competent”
“the agency provide an excellent standard of Nursing”
“they are very helpful, approachable and respectful”
“they offer support whenever needed”
“Strand provide good care to our friend enabling her to stay in her own home surroundings”
“Strand are good at sending nurses who have had experience with the very elderly”.
Strand scored 3’s (Standard met - no shortfalls) and 4’s (Standard Exceeded -Commendable) across all of the standards the CSCI Inspector assessed. The team are really excited about the scores and are determined to keep improving the service they provide - they are already thinking of ways to work on the few recommendations the inspectors did put forward including:
- Keeping up to date on the training that the Strand workers would find beneficial to their work.
- Exploring ways of improving supervised placements and de-briefing after an assignment.
- Looking at how to provide even more information on a work placement.
